Welcome to my studio! I record on a Neumann TLM 103 microphone inside a WhisperRoom sound isolation booth to ensure that your recordings are crystal clear and free from external noises. While many clients today are requesting files via .mp3 delivery on-line, I can also provide recordings to you on CD or DAT or in real-time via my Telos Zephyr ISDN line. |
![]() | Don't let my Parisian decorating scheme fool you! My studio is custom-built for recording with special soundproofing measures. The room has no windows, 2 layers of ceilings with added insulation, 2 sets of doors at each entrance with barrier space and 2 layers of 5/8" drywall covering the 2x6 walls. When I have time, I plan to create an e-book detailing the studio construction techniques. |
| In the meantime, I learned valuable lessons about renovating one's home that I want to
share with you. By downloading my free report that I named
Karen's Crash Course in
Avoiding Ca$h-Poor Contractors, perhaps you can learn from my mistakes and
avoid ending up with a lien on your home! You probably will want to
right-click on the link with your mouse and either save the file to your
drive or open it in a new window. It's a 7-page PDF that would be difficult
to read in this window. If you are interested in seeing a closer view of all the beautiful artwork in my studio, please bookmark this page. I plan to post pictures for an artwork tour. I have a number of prints by my favorite artist Fanch Ledan, as well as some paintings that my husband and I acquired in Paris. One piece is even a sketch of mine! However, the coolest pieces in the room are actually some very unusual methods of displaying my husband's photography. I'll let you know how you can accomplish some of the same results with your pictures. A few people have asked about the objects in the top picture in the foreground next to the computer monitor. I collect microphone pins from Hard Rock Cafés around the world, and my collection is housed in a case on top of my equipment rack. While not artwork per se, the artwork tour would also include for the curious a close-up picture of that collection Finally, I will have a recommendation for you about a stand that amazingly holds 4 sheets of copy on it! |
